Without a valid study permit, students cannot enroll in any of the country’s Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs). A DLI is a school approved by the provincial or territorial government to host international students.

• A Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a Canadian financial institution
• A student or education loan
• Recent bank statements (past 4 months)
• Bank draft (convertible to Canadian dollars)
• Proof of paid tuition and housing
• A letter from a sponsor or organization providing you with funds
